| Questions: Im torn between my fiance and a major career move? Advice Needed? I am 25, from NY and work in a major salon in the city for 8yrs and am just a permanent full time stylist, it was always a goal of mine to move up in my career. I was engaged to the man of my dreams who i had been with for 8yrs also, we broke up last month as we could rarely see eye to eye and there was a lot of tension between us, we use to be the most romantic couple i knew but our argument the night we broke up was unbelievable the worst we ever had. We both have mutual friends & he is also friends with my family so i see him a lot. My best friend (who is also gay) use to work in the same salon as me but moved to California and opened his own salon and his place is very top notch and is doing brilliantly. He flew back to visit and told me he wants me to be the main manager in charge in his salon in CA, i was so excited when he asked me as it is a dream to move up in my career, but i didn't give him an answer yet. My life, family & friends are all in NY but at the same time i have many ghosts that haunt me there. My ex was always there for me, helped me through all the crap in my life, he has tried to ring me but i havent soken to him yet. His friends told me that he is giving me space but is waiting for me to go back to him and wont give up on me. He doesnt know anything about the job offer yet. My best friend was also always there for me when i needed someone else to talk to and had a shoulder for me to cry on etc. I really want a change in my job but something is holding me back and i know its my ex as i still love him. I feel torn between my career and the love of my life. Any Advice? |
