| How can I get..............? I am moving from NYC and I just finished my Medical Assisting courses and I wanted to know: besides spreading out my resumes all online with monster, careerbuilder and all those other job search engines and registering with staffing agencies in Georgia, What else can I do to find employment fast when I get there? Are they in need of Medical Assistants? How much do they pay? What would you recommend I do? Anything positive would help. Thanks |
| Obviously, there are a lot of job opportunities that we can get from Georgia. This place is quite affluent and well improved. As far as Medical Assistants are concerned, they also have the chance to be hired in most healthcare centers and hospitals. But it would be better if you get affiliated with some staffing agencies in Georgia. Let me give you this link and I hope they can help you with your concern. |
| Same here. I am also looking for a good job in Georgia and hopefully move in there as well. It would be a lot of help if you can share here any good tips as to where I can apply for a job. | Hi there! Good point there, Marynor. I think one thing that you can also do is to research on some companies that is related with your course. They might have job postings or listings that you can check on. Also, you can try asking your friends for job hirings. I still believe that the word of the mouth is very effective. | Make sure you have a shortlist of places you'd like to work and walk in directly and talk to the HR department if you have some spare time on your hands. It might seem like a stupid things to do in the internet age but instead of waiting for the computer to reply to you and doing nothing you may as well be hitting the pavement too. You can relax when you land a job! |
| I agree with Adam, this internet age may seem to have made face to face contact obsolete, but that is far from the truth. If anything you will stand out if you present yourself directly to your prospective employers so that they can see first hand what sort of person you are. There is nothing like good rapport and face to face contact to land you a very stable job. |

Yes, I also think that Adam replied quite beautifully to your query as far as your medical profession is concerned you should try to extract contacts of different medical firms or companies which hire medical fresher for their research projects. You should also enroll with any consultancy services in your local area as they will provide you a chance to sit in the interview at least. You can see your search your local media as all employers are not able to pick employees from online portals instead of it they post their vacancies on local media. |
