Age requirement for work with the developmentally disabled.?

Thank author of this post/commentI am a sixteen year old high school attendee. I have lived around people with all types of mental disabilities, and I enjoy being around these persons. I feel as though I could do people with these disabilities a lot of good, but then again I don't know if I meet the age requirements for this line of work in Kansas. My father has been a huge influence and so has his two friends which have been like blood to me. They have taught me not to look at someone by their cover, and to see the good in their heart, and I would like to help them in their line of work. They own an independent agency, and on top of enjoying this lifestyle, I figured it would be a great place to start joining the workforce. I just need to know if I meet the legal age requirements. Any information will help greatly! Thanks! P.S. I've heard that either Article 64 or 65 contain information on employment, but I can't locate age requirements. Again, thanks for any information!
