Transfer job to Maine or Kentucky? I currently live in South Carolina, but have lived in many places. My current job is planning to transfer me to ME or KY (I get to choose), either salary will be adjusted for local cost of living. Cities are Louisville, KY or Portland, ME; I have never been to either one. I have to make the transfer to one or will lose my current job (which I do not want to do in this job market). I am 29, single, female, with no children. Any advice would be appreciated.
I would prefer working in Louisville. It is truly a very nice city to live and there are also a lot of job opportunities that you can grab there. Basically, the economy is quite stable and it is also pretty safe for foreigners. In demand jobs there include healthcare, management, staffing consultant and the like. I hope that you will have the time of your life as you stay there. Please check this link for Louisville jobs.
Thank you so much for posting this here. But honestly, I would rather work in Kentucky and I am very willing to transfer there. I have friends who told me that economy in Kentucky is doing very well. So, I think this is the best place to work and discover new opportunities. Thank you so much and have a great day!

Looks like there's more life in Kentucky so I say, go for Louisville. You can still have a thriving social life in Kentucky but that's not to say that life in Maine is so boring. It actually depends on the company that you will have when you get there and the cost of living. Despite our recommendations, it is still best to do your own research before making your final decision. Good luck!
