| Risk it all & move to LA to pursue career? I'm looking for advice.... Okay so I'm just looking ahead. I'm 13 & i live in reno, nevada. After college i really just want to move to La and see what happens. My goal is to be either an author, actress, or comedian. Or even all 3. Everyone tells me all the time I'm super funny and should do stand-up and I get a lot of compliments on my looks, I heard that helps with getting jobs in major cities. I really just want to move and see what happens, what I'm really capable of. So my question is do you think I should? |
| Hi Hoefert! You are such a determined person and I admire you for that. It is just good to know that at an early age of thirteen you already have plans of what to do right after college. Yes, Los Angeles is really a big and busy city. For now, my only advice to you is that, just finish your school for the time being so that when the right time comes, you are ready to face whatever challenge you might encounter in the future. |
| It is good for anybody to plan ahead. And while some other kids are just playing around wasting their time on nonsense, there you are planning ahead about stuffs. I have to agree with what people had said here. You better focus on your studies first before anything else. You will surely land on a good job once you graduated. | You got plenty of potential and special aptitudes. But you will really never know what would happen to you not unless you try. So if you think you'll have a brighter future after moving to LA, go ahead. But you have to consider pros and cons to make sure that you won't have any regrets in the end. Set your goals and work for it. In that you will truly succeed. |

As of now, try to explore and experience different things so that you would be able to discover new talents and reach you full potential. Set a goal in your life and aim for it. If you're determined to move to LA and pursue whatever career you want, then go for it. Find your destiny and your happiness. |
| I think that if you have the talent, you should really go for it. Being an author is different from being an actor or a comedian, though. It would surely help if you will take up a course in writing or acting. That way, you'll be able to confirm based on your performance if you really have what it takes to make it big in any of those fields. Just do your best and everything will fall into place. |
