I am writing my letter of intent for graduate school - help please?

Thank author of this post/commentI am applying to the JMC (journalism and mass communication) program at the University of Oklahoma. I have to write a 1, 000 word letter of intent/essay stating my career goals and why I want to pursue graduate study in JMC.

What kind of help do you exactly need? Do you need help in composing your letter in English? I sincerely doubt that. Or do you need help in helping you decide what your career goals are and why you want to pursue graduate studies in JMC?

Seriously, you should have thought about that before even considering to enrol in JMC. Why else would you want to take further studies other than the to have a fruitful career?

"Flight attendant"

I would like to send a professional letter to my boss, in order to explain for him the situation happened in our base in Jeddah since hes in Riyadh and his delegate here is taking decisions like he want to upgrade the crew for lead flight attendant depending on his close relation with them and the like or unlike fracture.i would like to explain for him that after my 6 years experience in aviation and all the motivation and the good work, plus my good record without NO sick leave or no chow since I join the company until our present , doesn't justify why other people less senior and less experience than me are now lead and I am not.and the question is how should I keep a good work, and a high spirit when I see that all my effort and all the good work and proficiency I have is not evaluated as it should?

First of all you should take this thing seriously because many universities do not take any tom dick and harry who wants to study at their place. The whole thing depends on your first impression that is your letter.

Yous should ask yourself why do you want to do Journalism and Mass communication on the first place. and second thing is why out of all universities you choose Oklahoma university on the first place. Keep your letter to the point; give examples;don't drag it a lot. All the best.

Well setting career goals is one the toughest thing that human should face. It may be hard if you are still uncertain of what you really want to take. Again, you have to go back with your career goals and objectives to make sure that you're on the right track. Just make sure that every point you pick will improve your skills and help you reach your goals as well.

That is true. I think it is very hard to set goals and most especially attaining them all. I strongly believe that we can always find ways to meet all of our goals if we just put our mind to it. We have to really set career goals that will serve as our guide in the process. Anyway, thanks for sharing all of those information and tips in here. Good day.
