Yahoo! Answers: How can I get into Tisch at NYU?

I would like to go to NYU in 2012. I am currently a freshman in high school in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I have a passion for film, and I've decided I would like to have a career writing and producing film or television. I know Tisch is the one of the most prestigious film schools in the country, so I would like to get a head start on achieving the necessary goals to get into the school in my senior year. I have the creativity and intelligence, but I need to know what kind of activities I should be involved in. I know the obvious things like joining clubs and taking the right electives are important. I'm going to join the cross country team next year, take a class on video, keep my unweighted GPA at 3.5 to 3.7, take all honors classes, take summer film classes, apply to SOCAPA teen film camp next summer, continue excelling at guitar and taking lessons, possibly join the orchestra for the school musical, take photography classes, get a job anywhere, do community service for a group or charity, etc, etc..... Yeah, I know that was a long list of things that are easier said than done, but I'm up for it. I'll have the grades, the classes, the sport, the right activities and clubs, and the proper film classes. I'll be writing and making short films and video for a YouTube channel soon (just have to get the right camera) and I'm reading as much books and material on film as I possibly can right now. Is there anything else I should do? I feel like I'm missing something important. Haha.
